Hey guys, new here, just a few questions. Tommorow (supposedly) my da6 halfcut will be coming out of it's container. Just wondering if there's anything to note when switching everything over from my da9? The halfcut is a '93 model da6 so it's coming with a b16a2 w/ lsd, and the importer also managed to get the whole abs system in aswell. Can I swap over all of the running gear without the abs?
Thanks,
Shane

Good luck with the conversion, dont be suprised to find a late 93 model DA6 B16A to be OBD1. If thats the case your conversions gonna be more fun :p

it will be fine the running gear may have a few sensors on it but its dosnt matter if there is no ABS
you can use abs parts on non abs vehicle but not non abs on abs vehicle

^^ what he said...
if youve got a 89-91 model teg then the OBD0 --> OBD1 conversion is gonna make it exciting !! haha
and youll have to use the harness off your new engine.. not the b18a (like i had to)

The ECU will be a OBD1 style plug so you most likely have to re-wire or even swap the entire loom which will require you to remove your dash and ripping out the heater, ac and blower to get to the wiring...
If you havent had much experience wiring up honda's PGMFI system on OBD1 and OBD0 then i suggest you shouldnt do it.
Looks like the best bet is to pull out the dash completely, install the loom from the cut and with the motor out sort out the wiring issues.
I didnt have this option to me last time, the cut was a late 93 OBD1 DA6 that ended up in a 2nd gen CRX.

The dash has to come out anyway due to the installation of the climate control system, and the 180km/h jdm dashy. I won't be doing the wiring myself, just the basics.
Thanks for the help guys!

dude wouldnt it have just been easier to try and buy an XSI instead??? im not being a smartass and i wouldnt mind doing this conversion like this myself in time to come, but why not get an XSI save the trouble, that way u get the engine, the abs and u have ur jdm climate control!
xsi's are hard to find, and you would lose at least 1k changing cars.. plus you have some fun doing the conversion etc etc
shouldnt cost him too much

Jah, nowadays XSi's are a bit hard to source due to the US going absolutely nuts over vtec. The reason why I'm converting is because I got the car VERY cheap, and the halfcut itself was only around $2k including shipping. There's a very good chance that I may be able to break even or even make profit from selling the car later on. Plus yeah, it's fun to play with cars =P
