hi
i recently purchased a set of jdm s2000 wheels and tyres for my DC2 R
earlyer today i tryed to fit them but then i ran into a problem ..... the rear tires were hard up against the wish bone looking thing i the wheel arch..... these are the sizes of the wheels and tyres:
TYRES
Yokohama,
- 205/55/R16 89V
Falken Azenis ST115 Tyres
- 225/50/R16 92V

WHEELS
- F | 16 x 6½ +55mm offset
- R | 16 x 7½ +65mm offset

any ideas anyone......... will these wheels sizes even fit???
are there any other options?

well pretty much the only option is to get spacers with studs on em. they cost $85 each. basically they can push ur rim out 20, 25 or 30mm. Take note that this is illegal however so you do so at your own risk ;)

EDIT: link added.

see webiste and click the wheels and tires section and its near the bottom. Good luck and let us know how you go :)

Well i'm guessing these are the front wheels off the s2k,

- F | 16 x 6½ +55mm offset
- 205/55/R16 89V

If they fit your teg then why not get another pair of front s2k wheels to put as your rears?

225 are too wide for the teg unless you put spacers and besides you dont really need wider tyres for the rear on a fwd car. :)

Hope I helped. :D

If there is no hassle with fronts, then just get 205/55/R16 tyres for the rear.
However the wheel offset could still be an issue and you may need 10 or 15mm wide spacers. Fit the wheel with 205 tyre and measure first. Should be quite safe on non-drive axle though. Good luck!

the thing is he said it sits flush with the wishbone, so regardless of tyre or not, the rim still needs to be pushed out. And really, the only way is to use spacers or true, get another set of fronts. but still the offset might be a little high. DC5R is +55's? or i thought around 45?

everyone uses spacers. drifters use them as well. hehe. good luck with it once again. i'm sure u'll have no trouble reselling them if they don't work out.

dont get staged rims for a FWD. Just stick to wheels with the same dimensions plz . Its naughty and illegal.

yer well i think i will try some 8mm spacers then see what happens .... if it doesnt work out ill just have to resell them.
benjamin: i brought them in the hope of keeping a little more traction
due to a turbo conversion being almost finished....... if these wheels dont fit do i have any other options besides semi slicks that will keep my power to the floor? i thought wider + larger wheels are the only way.... avoiding the high cost of a full suspenion overhaul.

Man im running S2000 rims on my DC2RTurbo, i was running 225/45/16 and had no problems, i just swapped to a cheaper tyre and its a 205/55/16 still no rubbing, maybe its to do with my suspension but its like the 3rd person mentioning s2000 rims on DC2's im running with a Drumond Motorsport Short Coilover kit. But im proof that it can be done without problem email me at lachlan_wright@hotmail.com and i will forward you some pics and all the info i can find
