if i get an 2 n quter inch exhaust on my crx would i still be able 2 here the vtec open up loud?

piping is secondary to the muffler used when it comes to the exhuast note / sound.

well ive got a cannon on it now n headerz vtec opens up nice but i wouldnt mind the extra lil power frm the exhaust..but i dnt wanna full lose 2 vtec sound coz it sounds awsome.. u rekon ill end up losing the vtec sound or it will still sound the same?

Your saying would you 'still' be able to hear your VTEC open up loud. So your comparing it to your current set up. What have you got at present?

Either way. 2 1/4inch you will definatlly hear it.

not really i had a masive 3" cannnon inlet with a 4.5" tip on my old civic
and the VTEC dissappeared on that.

2.1/4 with 3" inlet cannon with 4.5" tip?
no VTEC sound

from outside.
u can hear it a little bit.
but from the cabin. it was just blah..

yeh ive got a intake wid a hks filter....on my old civic sir2 i had 2 n qutar inch exhaust stock air box n jst a K'N panel filter vtec use 2 open up

have u heard VTEC with a pod filter, really loud!, there is a huge difference with a pod filter and the stock airbox. my suggestion is to get rid of the resonator box and make urself or buy a cold air intake. i've made myself a CAI on my crx using the stock piping and airbox. the resonating sound from the pod is unbelieveable even though i have no muffler. the ppl i cruz with knows me as the lil red honda that SCREAMS!!
