i dont think its true, and if it is who cares! i bet the difference isnt too big, but if it is lighter, i think it would be easier to crack then the normal ones as its thinner ? who can verify.

DC2R windscreens are thinner, hence lighter...:)
I asked if I could get my chips repaired and da guy sed that wasn't deeper enough to repair, but I bet he had no idea that it was a thinner winscreen..
I got qouted around da $600 mark

Honda dealer giving out false information - NEVER (sarcasm)
I doubt the guy behind the counter even knows the diff, when i went to by parts at horny Honda, the parts guy had no idea what the block code for a type R was. that should be a given for any part guy

yes, but when it comes to replacement, where can we find the thin windshield and how do we know we're not getting jibbed with a normal screen?

maybe when you get it replaced, get some of that filmy kinda thing that the renaults have, that makes it look a different colour, like blue, or orange or red. that looks awesome

type r is lighter - yes
is it laminated - think so
why - safety reasons so it wont shatter
