Looking at some cams from the US. There is a brand "Blox" which have new cams out they say is better than CTR or ITR cams. They are called the HSL profile (High Speed Lift). Come complete with springs, retainers aswell.

Specs:
Intake - 255' @ 0.05in; Lift 496in
Exhaust - 256' @ 0.05in; Lift 496in

Cam Gear setting - +1' - +2' (intake only)
Timing - 16' - 17' advanced.

Getting a full-tune by Dyno Dave in a few weeks so was thinking about upgrading the head aswell while im there. Possibly a p&p too. Has anyone had any experience with teh above cams, or similar profiles?

BTW, well aware the Toda B or C's would be the best, aswell as Skunk2's, BC's or original CTR/ITR but just as an alternative, maybe the Blox.

What are you looking to achieve? Is this for a F.I. or N.A. motor? Are you looking for high rpm's? You do know that going too high with a turbo can be useless if the turbo can't create power at high rpm's? I haven’t used or heard of anyone using the Blox Cams nor would I run out with out investigating. I use the Skunks or the Crower and have Crower stage 2 turbo cams in my car right now and love them. I can have a set out to you in 9 hours when it’s 8 am here. If you go to www.crower.com you can see what they have for your car.

Looking at F.I future wise, but just an upgrade with the ECU ATM. Whats the price for Crower Stage II cams, springs, retainers? Would this be good for turbo in the future?

That's a direct order you can do with out the middle man. They are awesome to work with and have great support. I can order them but as it's a special order item not in stock at my place I have to have the money up front. Shipping would be about $50.00-$75.00 depending on how you want it shipped.

These are what I am using in my turbo car and find them to be the best for the buck. The ITR/CTR cams can be pricey and used. The skunks are ok, I use them for small turbo projects. There are a few others I have used and some I wouldn't use. I love the crowers. They work well in my car and the tech service is always there. They can customize the cams too. If you know what you want the cam to do they can make it for you. And if it does really well with the setup will even mass produce it and give you the 1st set free. Happened with my friends V-8 Chevy!

From what I gather they are the cheaper alternative. But it would be much better to go with better cams, proven cams and profiles. Such as Toda, Rocket, Skunk etc etc. ITR and CTR genuines are somewhat overpriced.

May get the Rocket M22s and get my tune. I/H/E & cams - should net some reasonable figures. Might have to change my headers.
