Problem with ignition barrel

hey guyz.. and girls..
with the 5th gen accord.. does anybody have a problem with taking the key out of the ignition barrel??
sometimes i cant even start the car cuz the ignition barrel wont let me turn the key.
the ignition barrel was replace about 6months ago and cost me $200. anybody know wats wrong with it or how to fix it? i dont wana spend another $200 just to replace the thing.

One possibility is that you might have accidentally turned the steering wheel while the key is out of the ignition, this causes the steering wheel to lock, to get around the problem, put the key in and turn the steering wheel while turning the key..

yehz i have actualli done that. the key comes out but the beep (to warm that u have left the keys in the ignition) keeps beeping when i open the door.

any ideas?

you cant stop the beep,

is your key a factory key, I have seen sometimes when you get a key cut that it does this, also you can try spraying a small amount of wd40 down the lock.
