Hello People im new to the whole car seen, i have just bought my civic and i want to fit a pod filter to it.
Can any one suggest the best possible way to attach it to my car, specifying whether i can just attach it straight to the air intake system or do i need a kit???
Thanks

it all depends on what you are after mate,
if u jst want the pod filter sound or you wanna actually make better power
best option is to keep the pod in a box, it wont be as loud but it also wont get as hot thus making a little better power.
kits are rather cheap as, all u need is the piping a rubber hose a reducer and the pod.
i think u can get the pod to attach straight onto the original piping if u wanna go that way.
most kits are for the bling factor but there are a few that actually give some good gains. like i said all depends on what result u want mate.
if u jst want the sound and looks get some chrome or anodized piping and an exposed pod, if u wanna be more performance based there are a few other factors to consider.
u wanna draw cool air from some where and keep it as cool as possible as it makes it way to the intake manifold.
hope this helps mate
