I'd SUSPECT the asian-market EG6 (VTi) would be similar to the G-spec (world) EG6 that went to europe etc with the 160PS B16A2 vs the J-spec 170PS B16A.

as far as I can tell, ONLY Japan recieved the 170PS B16A.

I think most of the EG6 are imported from Japan.
I think there is a difference with the early and updated model in the EG.

Desmond is the boss with the EVO at N1 right?
I know Edmond there (I think thats his name)

WTF are you on bro ?? of COURSE ALL EG's are made in Japan !!!

but there's a two families you see:

- Jap Domestic Market - Models made in Japan for SALE in Japan.
- General/Global Market - Models made in Japan for SALE in Europe and Asia etc.

now if you dont know about JDM, do a search, but the Global Market models include European civics, Asian (not-Japan), Australian, African and USA.

Basically, if your country has a domestic auto industry, you get Global-spec hondas. if your auto industry is de-regulated and RHD, you might get JDM hondas.. like Bermuda, New Zealand etc.

so yeah all EG6's are made in JAPAN.. but that doesnt mean it's JDM.

there isnt really an 'update' with the EG generation of civics.. in relation to the EG6 with the B16A, it had 160PS in non Japanese markets and only 170PS in Japan.. the 92 EG6 is the same as the 95 EG6 apart from some small additions like ABS, SRS etc.. but essentially they're the same.

WTF is wrong with you?
I said I THINK all the EG are all make in Japan in Malaysia as I am not 100% sure. If you know they 100% all imported to Malaysia then just say so.
No need to go off at someone.

There are EGs made in US and EGs made in Taiwan to my knowledge.

there is 2 different eg6 one is sir and one is sir 2

i believe the 160 hp is the SIR and the 170 hp is the SIR II

the SIR II has different gear ratios and ALB.

thats what i have found when i was searching for one to buy.

A lot of cars in malaysia are imported from Japan, as the govt allow parallel importing with an approved permit. As such, many will be JDM models because the importers just buy the car and register it for 1 day, then deregister and bring it over. Many will bring "variants" of cars in so as there is no conflict of interest with the local dealers. i.e Brabus/Kleeman enhanced M.Benz, Hamann tuned Beemers, IMPUL/Nismo tuned Nissans, Wald modified Toyotas, etc etc... Will get some pics up for u guys when i get back to Perth :)

AFAIK all EGs came with b16a2 which is 170hp

the 160 hp varients are from the EF series (ef8/ef9/xsi integra)

tho i cant say %100
