Tried searching, cant seem to find answers for these...

1- How difficult is the change in a del-sol? Its definetly a drop down job, but has anybody here done it themselves?

2- What fluid is best for gearbox? Anybody have the heavy duty excedy sprung clutch? does anybody recomend any other brand of heavy duty clutch?

3- Best engine oil for use in B16a2? Motul? Fully synthetic? What weight
(10-30w?)

4- How much will a lightweight flywheel set me back? im looking for more low-end torque!

5- Taking the car to the drags end of month, what can i strip off without taking it too far. People have been saying to take off the roof, which i wont do as there is heaps more drag when its off, subs are coming out, amp, lighweight rims are going on. maybe passenger seat. Any techniques missing?

**** I typed up all this shit but the browser ****ed up..........so here we go again.

Firstly, you haven't looked hard enough because there is a DIY on how to change ur clutch in the diy forum.

1. IT depends on your level of skill, but based on Q2 it looks like you need to do more research.
2. Clutch doesn't take any fluid........it sits outside the gearbox
3. Do a search......its been discussed before but for normal street driving OEM FEO should do you fine.
4. Depends on what brand flywheel you get as prices can vary. Once again search abit.
5. Isn't this a thread about clutches?

Did a search for "DIY Clutch b16a" and came up with no results...

Sorry, i meant gearbox fluid/oil (is honda genuine reccomended? or aftermarket?)

Have mechanical experience... did backyard change on a 1.6 4afe from an ae92 corolla, as well as replace clutch, which took a day from no knowledge at all, just seeing what peoples thoughts were? if its too difficult i will save my time and take it to mechanic, but i enjoy working on car...

Sorry about the last q, i prefer to ask more than one question at once, gets things out of the way. There were more q's (as im new to the honda scene - but search answered them)

the clutch change really isn't that hard... you should be able to find a copy of the factory service manual online somewhere(I've seen it several times), and if you have some mechanical knowledge, and can follow instructions, it should be fine.

For tranny fluid, honda mtf is generally thought of as the way to go.

And if you want to make the biggest difference in the sol while going down the track? remove the rear bumper cover. Aerodynamically it's just a huge parachute and pulling it off will net you .2 sec off your 1/4 mile time or so.

What do you mean by the rear bumper cover? The whole bumper?
