Whereabouts is the oil filter on a 99 civic? looked everywhere but couldnt seem to find it :P

Not sure if true for the other engines fitted to EK's.... but B16...............On the side of the block closest to the firewall..... our VtiR have to get under car and reach up. Bitch of a place and position on the B16..... so easy to get a bit of oil on the headers if not extra careful.

ON the side of the block facing the firewall.

you have to get under the car to take it out

Just tell your local Honda dealer your cars details and they should be able to tell you.
