Ok so now i have some $$ saved up, to spend on the car (xmas time is gone hehehe)

1stly here is what the car looks like still :( HERE (http://www.ozhonda.com/forum/showthread.php?t=30842)

Now most of the mods that i wanna do is for looks and handling as for the engin im thinking of engin swap in the long run.
So mods like:

Rims
Nice system
suspension (lowering, thinking of coil overs D2s)
Colour code the whole thing

im really confused as to where to start ... obviously dont have $$ for all of them at once ... so yea please help ... any suggestions are welcome :)

not a bad list/plan to start wth.

i'd say .. start from the suspension lowering. though if u do it right wth coilovers..it may probably cost the most but its well worth it. once u get the ride height and handling u're after, then a good set of rims will just top it (not tat ur current rims are any bad i reckon).

and wth the colour coding..i wouldnt bother much as ur car's black..not very noticable, but it'll sure looks cleaner once done.

for me.. system's last ..always at the very last of list. :)

or mayb u wanna consider taking of the rear mid wing too? :p

Yeah i agree what others said, firstly upgrade the suspension.
Your rims at the moment arent that bad man....maybe a SIR or CTR lip would look great, makes the front end look much better than stock.

ive done exhaust, lowering, head lights, grill, stereo, wheels(currently getting sprayed black), number plates, el dials, tachometer and a few other lil bits. I would have to say my favourite part of the car now is my front. It looks o much more tougher with black housing headlights. I bought projectors over going type r style have to say this makes a huge difference, I think ride height should be your first thing to look at aswell. Ps i got a black 99 gli ek1 aswell

Go coilovers and swaybars and then keep saving for your engine work

My stock speakers are ok, they're pioneers. Given you have a good head unit (mine is an old alpine) they sound not too bad as long as not too loud.

Yea, I'm tossing between upgrading the stereo system and suspension. Got $2k to spend, I luv my music but I just bought 17" wheels which means lowering is needed.....mmmmm

As with engine, I agree with doing engine swap (go B18C), don't waste money on exhaust like i did.

your rims are fine.. just drop it hot! get some CTR grill , projector headlights or tint it and exhaust then your done ! :p

leave color coding to last ur car is black...
and yeah go for suspension first and system IMO along with a really good alarm, personally i cant stand not listening to music in da car its frustrating, when ur cars lowered it'll look better and look cleaner. after that take ur time and change the lil bits here and there as u please :)

Rims im looking at getting are the new Enki RS + M 17x 7 with the gold colour :D or the Aztec Gold :D hehehe ... see what happens as for suspension D2 are good and handle well too, but is it worth getting them now?

i've done almost all i want to do for my car bar sports seats... do intake and muffler... changes the whole "feel" of the car in terms of the sound (not so much performance)...

atm im running 2 6x9s 220Watt Kenwood speakrs which is located in the rear of the car and running some sort of sony splits ... deck im running a pionner Hxxx cant remember the numbers, etc etc, its pumps out ok ... not bad for a simple system setup ... but the previous owner had a massive system running through the car ... 2 15' and some sort of massive splits with 6x9s hence the wirring is still there all of it ... so is good for me :D hehehe ..... so in wards with the system ... the car isnt much stock at all :p

Im gonna upgrade my stock civic sound system very soon...was wondering how does Eclipse rate?...because for my HU im choosing between the Eclipse CD7000 (their flagship for 2006 range) and the Clarion DXZ856MP (also a mad deck but from the 2005 range), and as far as speakers amp & sub im going with alpine...what you reckon?

I was ready to buy the Eclipse CD8455 but its apperance turned me off...however the CD7000 fixes that...so now its a serious contender...however iv heard from people they tend to be very faulty :(

depends how your cash flow is. When i got my car it was pretty slow, so i got the colour coding done first coz it was cheapest to do. It made the car look twice as good. After that do the suspension coz its only a little bit more. Then just decide which u want more, system or rims and get either of those first.


Of course if ur just cashed up do in any order lol.

i would work on the sussy, make it low and sexy...should last u few weeks
then whenever u have the spare $, add in the cosmetics...lip..colour code..DIY front headlights...

before you know it...car will look the way u want it..

colour coded my civic 2 years ago...cost me $400...thing is...got my front and rear add on lips, side on mirrors, rear number plate space painted, and front number plate holes covered.

looks wise....made the car look a whole lot cleaner...

too bad my mates couldnt shave the side car panel things... :(

It cost me $375. Got the strips, numberplate area, and the sideskirts painted for that. I think the guy who did it was a family friend and had sum paint left over from painting my spoiler a few months before tho, wether or not that made a difference in the price i dont know.

i got my old cars side skirts, front lip, door handles, bump strips and mirrors quoted for around 350
and he was a full stranger, didnt know him at all

how good did the DIY come out? i wanna try this, im not to bothered if it perfect

today got my H4 Lights in white :D heaps better now, so that will avoide me buying hid for a while (since they are illegal and not cheap) umm tommrow getting exhuast fitted hehe ... and this will be it for a few days ... then getting sysem done and then the big ones .... which are going to be D2 rims (together so i dont look to high heheh) and then then lastley colour code and air filter (the full extended arm ones hehe) and that will be until the engin upgrade:D

I have the Eclipse AV8132 in-dash DVD/CD source unit (fold out screen), its a USA-only model. when the stereo was done Eclipse hadn't released their 3way front speaker set so it has a custom Focal set (7" midbass and 5.25" midrange, TN51 tweeters). One big 15" sub(88150TI), 3 two-channel amps (34230). in the rear is the eclipse 6.5" speakers (SC8362). Custom install by Maroochy Car Sound.

oh and 02ZZI, it's been in a couple of autosalons both bris and gold coast, i bought it last year.. i have done up the interior and re-done the bonnet and few other little things since the previous owner.. when he had it it had the wheels body kit and stereo
