Hey all,

Ive got a problem on my gf's EG civic. Drivers door - the window keeps popping out of the guides. Any Ideas?

Ive fixed it twice already and about to fix it for the 3rd time @ 20:30pm

It falls out of the rails, but when I want to put it back in - I have to take the seal out and relocate one of the guard rails, and then squeeze the seal back in to the rail all the way down the door.

It amazes me that the glass is sitting in to tightly yet - somehow just come out.

I can only adjust one of the rails and its always on the maximum 'tightness' squeezing the glass into the seal.

Any Ideas?

Mike

Ok... i think i fixed it for good now.. *crossing fingers* - hardest thing to do is squeezing the seal down the rail - but WD40 and plenty of it serves as a libricant :P *get your head out of the gutter* haha

have a good nite guys!

There'll be a couple bolts behind your door trims that hold the guide in place, one or both may have come loose - I had this similar problem when my old car was broken into, they had forced the window down but managed to move one of the locating bolts also, all was needed was a quick re-ajustment and some silicone oil...

I had to remove part of the window seal to actually pop the window back into the guides and then replace the seal.

the rail on the 'door lock' side of the door is actually in two parts. the bottom part is removable if you unscrew it from the door, and drop it down. that might make it easier than forcing the seal back down the rail... lots of lubrication needed.

I had to redo my drivers side window. I use grease on the rail and silicon spray on the rubber guides. WD40 drys out too quick.
