How do I tell what type of transmission I have? I need to get a speed sensor for my EF9.

no he means the actual serial number of the tranny - Honda needs it to get the correct VSS.

BTW look on the side near the flywheel end for a number somewhere...

OBD0 ECU, cable type gearbox and you require a VSS not cable speedo, right?

Go to a wrecker and get an 1990 ~ 1993 LS Integra VSS.

Yeah I need a VSS. Wouldn't it be better to get a new one so it's less likely to go poo after however long? And is there any particular number or letter that I should be looking for? Lol to Lukezen27 to. I didn't even realise someone would interpret it that way.

Honda parts are pretty reliable(although expensive) so the LS integra VSS should be fine. If you really want a new one IF the LS one dies, make sure you ask the wrecker for the VIN number so you can cross reference it with Honda next time!

Someone on this site has no doubt done an OBD1 or OBD2 conversion on an LS, even offer to buy their old VSS in the WTB section.
