it is inside your distributor i think...

might need a new sensor or a new distributor...

the job of this sensor is to tell the engine when the piston is at the top of its stroke...

hmm.. ok then.. cos i took the car to a mechanic and he said that the exhaust valve on the second cylinder was leaking. could this be the cause?! for that code? if it is.. what would be the best way to go about fixing it?

TDC is in the dizzy, its the CYP that is in it own housing on the exhaust cam.

measure its resistance
it should be between 700ohm to 1000 ohm

and no a leaking valve will not cause this code to pop up

follow this step to fix it (http://b16a2.kicks-ass.net/tech/6-152.pdf)
