Just collecting parts for my turbo set up was browsing ebay US and came across this log style turbo manifold. It seems pretty good quality and am guessing it would be under 400AU landed. Any recommendations on this manifold by P-fabricatioins? Had a look on google and H-T and didnt find much but what i did find seemed pretty good reviews - Also looks like a spoolin performance log for those who know about these? would this be a better option than a cast greddy/blox mani?
thaks dan.

Stay far away from cast!
If you ever have issues with a cast manifold cracking, and yes it does happen, there aren't many people who will repair a cast iron manifold, and even if tyhey do, it looks so damn ugly when repaired.
Go with a good quality stainless steel manifold.
That one looks half decent actually.

you need to find a Ramhorn turbo manifold
manifold looks good. checkout honda-tech & homemadeturbo for plenty of cheap log style manifolds. looks alright though, nice thick stainless, welds look alright from what we can see.

thanks for all help, might see what else i can find but will prob end up getting it as seen H-T & HMT. It also seems to be made by a fairly respected company from what i have read but i think they mainly do v8 stuff but all for race so sounds good.
Ramhorn manis are out of my price range but will prob be an option down the track when i need more power and better flow/quality - thats when ill look at full race for one.
has lifetime warranty but would prob be cheaper to fix it here anyway with all shipping fees and stuff.
Just hope its not some crap like ss auto and that.

comparing the bmc and the ebay one would the ebay mani have a better positioned wasegate flange - less turbulance as its positioned closer to the collector? otherwise there pretty similar although the ebay one is cheaper.
Has any bmc ones cracked for anyone?
dude.. dude...
stop typeing and start searching. HMT and HT are ur friends. there is PLENTY of info on good log manifolds/feedback on many forums. U asked for a well known company with a good reputation, i told u BMC. With reputation comes prices.

Mate from the Gold Coast uses the SS Autochrome manifold and still pushes 300fwHP. They aren't the best on the market but still work with no probs. So they can work but I see it better to spend the extra $$ first up to prevent having to repair, replace, rebuild etc.
I will end up with the Full-Race manifold. They are the best in my eyes and have had the best reviews in the USA. Other US co's inc Neukin, One-Fab, etc for the top mount / ramhorn designed mani's.
Do you want stock internal turbo, or a future full house built (block, head) etc. If long term goals are big big power, spend the extra dollars. The logs are mainly for the basic setup (not saying they cant make big power). There are Australian co's that can make up custom mild-steel ones though for less. Craig @ Extreme Engineering in QLD can make up mild mani's for $600-800 approx. The Full Race goes for above $1,000US but good for the long-term. Some will disagree.

why dont you pm superR on the forums. i believe he recently bought a mani from lsd motorsports, who happens to be an OH trader

looks ok .... but sorry it is not like the lsd one. look where the turbo flange is......up in the air somewhere! lol.
the lsd one keeps the turbo nice and close to the block.

i didnt say lsd i said bmc, just wondering which wastegate would be better placed the bmc or the ebay one from P-Fab as they are both up but one is closer to the collector where as the other (bmc) isnt?
searched HT found stuff but nothing on wastegate placement comparing stuff so if i could have some advice it would be great....
big power is my goal but that will be later later later on if i ever get there for now i would be happy with a simple manifold and the rest to be a well thought out set up not ss auto crap...

Did you want to keep the air conditioning? By the looks of the turbo placement on that manifold i dont think your going to be able to keep it.

i kept air con.... and was able to fit two thermo fans on the stock radiator. that was with the lsd as jimmeh mentioned

not the best on the market? work with out problems?
hardly...
they're the worst manifolds out there right now and hardly work without problem.
As for the bmc manifolds... I've used them without a problem.
As for fullrace... the quality is great, and they look good, etc... but as for wastegate position, they're far from ideal. Go pick up the book "Maximum Boost" by Corky Bell and find out how things should be ideally.(That said, I have an equal length manifold for my car that's set up very much like the full race ones... just trying to provide some more info on what would be best)

looks not bad to me an if your talkin about runnin 6-8 psi den why do you need any better with such low boost doesnt really matter
drive a car with 22 psi an you wont even bother

its all good thanks for the comments, the guy is gonna make up a custom lsd motorsport tubular short manifold with external 38mm tial gate flange for t3/t4 turbo ac/ps comp, so hopefully it will flow a bit better than the log manifold, all stainless to but shipping is a b*tch! 160ish express 100ish normal air and 40us for surface so it looks like itll be surface so ill wait 6weeks for it to come... :(

Word. Full-Race has possibly the best mani's. Check all the US forums for the high-powered street cars and the majority have Full-Race. Custom mani's will perform well but personally would rather proven products.
They used their top-mount manifold for Geoff's (FR owner's) Civic and ran above 800whp on an LS/VTEC.
