Engine Management & Acceleration problem?

Hey everyone,

I have a 1990 CRX with the 1.6 L D16 motor, recently when i have been cruising on the freeway the engine management light comes on but no performance or anything seems to change or be affected.

I was just wondering if anyone has had this problem or may know what may be causing it?

I thought it could be electrical.

Also another problem that has only happened twice (not when EM light is on)
is when i give it a fair bit with the accelerator - RPM (6 to 7 thou) it just flats outs suddently - NO MORE ACCELERATION.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Use it to find the possible fault in your car. Then , if an issue , post a reply in THAT THREAD.

pull the pasangers side carpet back from the floor, you will see a big plate, then in the center a circle, you will see a flashing LED, count the flashes as described in Bens DIY.

you dont have to short anything on the 88 CRX
