Depends on how you need to wire it up for the amp. How many ohms do you need to get to and what can the amp handle? Also how many ohms are the coils on the subs?

the sub is dual 2 ohms

here is a link to the sub and amp

amp (http://mobile.jlaudio.com/products_amps.php?amp_id=252) sub (http://mobile.jlaudio.com/products_subs.php?series_id=12) if that helps

thanx i think i found my answer on the jl audio website anyway dvc wiring (http://mobile.jlaudio.com/support_pages.php?page_id=161)

im going to wire it in series so that it will be running at 4 ohms instead of 1

one more question, if i am wiring the sub in series, do i go - from the amp to - on the sub or - from the amp to + on the sub

EDIT: another question, would it be better to run the amp at 4 ohms (series) or 1 ohm (parallel), i think 4 ohms would be best as the amp is rated to handle between 1.5 and 4.5 ohms, can someone verify this for me

You'll get the most at 1 ohm but this amp will not handle 1 ohm. Getting to 1.5 is hard as that is a odd number. If you had 2 subs, hitting 2 ohms would be easy. The subs like 300 watts and the amp will do 625 watts @ 12.5V @ 50 Amps so I bet 2 subs would be best. But with just one sub I would make it run 4 ohms so you don't take the chance of blowing the amp.
