funny noise starting up in the cold weather

i get this engine noise happening in cold weather, its like the chugging noise is at a higher pitch and is prominant and louder.

what do you think it could be? it goes back to normal in 10 mins or so.

possibly condensation on the drive belts, causing some different tones until they dry off.

Tappets? If it is.. wrong types of oil can also lead to tapping noises... lack of oil attributes to that too...
