Hi guys

My car overheated today stuck in trafic coze my Rad fans have stopped kicking in

So where's the Elec Fan switch on my EG5 D16Y1 so I can short it out so the fans run the whole time so i can drive out to Hannys go get it fixed

Heres two pics, witch one wire is it

So is it the one near the headers (Top pic) or the one just behind the engine

I was told its the one ledding off the hose for the Rad but both are doing that lol

HELP

Im asuming the bottom pic too, mine is actually screwed into the bottom of the radiator.

Try and see if that works, because there should be ignition power going straight to the fan and the negitive is controlled by the switch. (on mine anyway) so yeah hoping the positive is there. Also check all your fuses, and yeah hoping its just not the fan seized up.

Engine Coolant Temp sensor

for the PGMFI system

i thought that was wat the thermo switch was for ... it reads the temp of coolant and turns on the fan ...

oh well guess i was wrong...

i didnt realise that eg had PGMFI either .. thanks heaps ECU MAN.

no probs

any Honda EFI is called PGMFI

there are thre coolant sensors in a EFI EG

the one for the PGMFI, varable resistor type ECT

the one that triggers the thermo fans, on off type

the one that controls the temp gauge, varable resistor type. single wire one
