Hi guys,

as that is a 2nd hand car. the previous owner lost the owner's manual. i don't know what the engine oil level should be.

I took the engine oil ruler(not sure what the proper name is) has two holes. just want to confirm where the oil level should be. cover the second hole or over it? does the lower hole mean the engine oil level is low and the higher one means high?

Thanks in advance!

The engine ruler is called a dipstick, the bottom marking on it means the oil level is low, so it should be above the bottom marking but lower than the higher marking.

I think it's around 4ltrs of oil? (someone correct me if i'm wrong)

Fill the oil so that the dipstick has oil to the top hole mark. The difference between the bottom and top marks is 1 litre. ie: If the oil is on the bottom hole, add 1 litre of oil and it will be on the top mark

put enough oil so that it reaches the higher hole in the dipstick. a complete oil change including oil filter will use about 3.5L.

Usually it will satisfy if the oil level on the top hole. to test it we need to start the car for abt 5 mins, then turn it off and let the eng cool down for a while, and now we test the oil level.
thats the way i do.
