car is leakin coolant from sump or somewhere near it help

ok i got a question i got a 94 integra and for some reason i am loosing coolant
i checked out the motor and it looks like its comming from the sump.. or above it some where as i can not really see on above it all i can see is pullys i was thinkin it could be the water pump but dont know where that is... any one know what could be leakin let me know out

sounds like waterpump has gone ? Please dont drive it far without takign to a professional mech to get looked at/fixed

ya am taking it to a mechanice tomorrow. how hard is it to get to the pump as i am going to try to change it my self..

you have to remove the timign belt first to access the waterpump i believe. Not so easy and re-installing it is imperitive to get the timing exact and torque settigns etc etc.

IMO , take it to a professional , and get the timign belt replaced with a new one while u are at it

get it wrong, it will take you longer to fix it plus cost you much more than you ever imagined.

im doing a water pump tomorow night, if you want ill take a pic or 2 so you can see whats involed

I think some water pumps have a little bleeder that it will leak coolent to let you know its on the way out and needs replacement

yes they do, but the idea is to direct coolant way from the belt.

ya ecu man pics would not be to bad. ya i will take it to a mate which is a michanic and get his oppinon first before i try to tackle it. thanks guys for all ya in put in to the situation.

ya it was the water pump. yes the car does have a bleeder. it is on the bottom of the pump will leak out on to the sump as it did with my car..
