Progressive springs not good?

if i wan my car to handle well..progressive springs is not good enuff? im comparing springs here..please dnt sae get coilovers as i got no $$ haha

Springs and shocks are always a good upgrade regardless.

Also, your question isnt very valid as all springs/spring brands are different. For example, i have progressive springs on my car, however, the way they are desiged is that when the car is lowered on the ground, the bottom 2-3 coils sit on eachother, where the rest of the spring is linear. I am sure this effects the overal driving of the car, but not daily.

I have heard from a friend with a WRX that progressives are not a good idea because they are unpredictable, meaning, the way they will handle around a corner is not in a fixed/predictable manner, where a liner spring you know exactly what it will do.

What exact springs are you looking at, that might help us comment.

im looking at the tein s-tech springs....nt sure if these springs are just for poser purpose or real handling purpose...

i've actually heard a lot of good feedback about the spoon progressive springs.

don't know anyone that's tried the tein progressive springs but I doubt they are just for poser purposes...

As far as I know, not all King Springs are progressive, it depends on the vehicle models...

Progressive is only created for streeet comfort..

It depends on the car and what you use it for. ITR (DC2 I know at least) runs linear at front and progressive at the rear, and as far as I'm concerned if the rears were linear the ride would be very harsh as a street car.

i have JDM DC2R suspension on my EF civic. i think the spring rates are different on JDM and AUSM springs, but the ride is pretty crazy. very stiff, i doubt the suspension is actually being properly used as my kerb weight is 960kgs..

for the price i reckon it's overall good :thumbsup:
