Hey all, Where is syd (south/west) do you guys reckon I can get the best alarm? I was reading a post on Code Alarms from JB HI-FI.. Whats a code alarm? Those ones where you have to type in a code, as opposed to a remote i guess. Although I'd rather an alarm with a remote, any suggestions?

Cheers
Brian

Code Alarm is a brand of alarm from the US, apparently one of the biggest OEM ie original alarms from the factory, manufacturers, Zylux is the australian distributor of them, http:\\www.zylux.com and navigate to the product pages. Im sure other places other than JB sell them. The alarm itself is just a standard unit, with no code pad etc. Hope that helps.

Ahh i see. Ill have a browse through that site u posted. Cheers :)

Edit: i just looked at the site, this is what it says: "Zylux Corporation provides high quality instrumentation for biomedical research, environmental studies and clinical diagnostics" lol
I put the .au at the end of it, works now :D

Whoa! Plant a mobile phone in your car lol What if the thief steals the mobile tho, then it automatically rings your phone and you answer it lol I guess you can talk to the guy then :D and tell him to wait till the cars warm before he revs it past 3 :p

Nah jk, yeh Boomerang, thats actually a pretty neat feature, ill check em out :)

any of you guys have experience with or own a pager alarm? some alarms claim 1km to even 3km. but with the size of the remote being so small. has anybody actually tested the true effective range of these alarms?
just wondering cos a mate had one and the range is nowhere near whats claimed on the box.
