Tyres for 16x7 rims

Hey

I'm having trouble finding tyres with a high enough load rating (84+) in 205 or 215 width and 45 profile.

Anyone know of any, so far all i've found is the Hankook K104 (which looks like it would go ok, despite being a Hankook) or the Toyo Proxes T1-S.

The optimal size for a 16x7 rim is 205/50/16. Both tyres are really good even though hankook dosent sound as good as Toyo but still Hankook is up there with the best. Dont go for 215/45 because you run the risk of the rubber coming of the rim because its wider than the rim, not such a big risk but it can happen if you turn a corner as hard as you can.

But I want something more out of a road tyre. I emailed bridgestone about RE-01's ... whether they'll get them in, but they just said, "yes its a good tyre" hahaha...

Most tyre sites test up to 225 on 7" width however there is an optimal for steering response recommended by tyre manufacturer :D

Trust me Hankook is the way to go, I got them on my vtir and they are better than any tyre i tried, they are very good on pretty much every perspective like handling, grip and low noise.

I have a pair of Hankook Ventus K102s, and those things are the SHIZNIT

K104 and the K102 are very different tyres, K104 i think is the top of the range ultra high performance tyre while K102 is in the lower range.

K104 is the "Ultra cool" tyre, but nowhere do they actually claim it is beter than the K102

So, I asked a few of the guys at Marathon Tyres (the importers). Lets just say, I walked out with a pair of K102s

Personal Fave's for the road, with good grip and price under $250 a tyre

Falken Azenis
Hankook Ventus K102
Dunlop 101s

I got the K102s as they were cheap for myself, and a chance to try something totally new. I believe they are just as good as the Azenis, but the Dunlops are harder, wear less, and seem to have a lot of grip considering. However, the dunlops seem to lose performance if they go thru a few too many heat cycles in one day.
