View Full Version : blower motor resistor help please

hey guys im not a pro at electronics or watever.. but i diagnosed wat was wrong with my heater no air comin out my ac turning on 1 2 3 4 but the heater wasnt doin nothin it can be on number 4 as soon as u turn the ac switch off nothing at all

so i think hmm fuse.. nah.. sumthin else. so i searched tha net for problem solving and found out this is pretty common...

but yet i dont know how to fix it.. i pull the resistor out and a broken link in it so test it with a test light and ones out so im like yeh thats it etc.. so solder them together temporarily put it in test it and it jus blows again catching a lil bit on fire breaking it again... wat can it be u rechon its blowing this resistor everytime now.. b4 i go buy another one from honda for $10,00000.00 wudnt mind diagnosing it first... as i am stuck please help me PLEEEEEASE

Needs a new one, they are a biyatch to re-solder... The heater in resoldering the wire destroys them as they end up with hot spots in them. It is basically, toaster wire and once they get old, thin and oxidised, they are ready to die.

check the wreckers first and see how much they want. I paid $20 for my last one.

they generate to much heat and melt the solder.

just replace it like iamhappy46 says.
