i recently removed my dc2r radiator from my eg and fitted a twin core jdm eg6 radiator.
before i swapped them over my car was idling normal now with the new unit my idle (when cold) is 3000rpm -+ , (when hot) 2300rpm -+.
im fairly sure i bled all the air out correctly,
with the intake off, on the inside lower left side of the t.b there is a large hole, i put my finger over this and revs drop instanly, remove and they rise again.
i have cleaned the iacv and reset ecu/vafc also

anyone have any idea on this or a detailed proceedure on cooling sys would be great.

is the throttle cable that loops round the front of the head over the exhaust nice and floppy, or is it tightly pulled to fit a clip or somting, cos that can cause your problem.

aso was the heater set to the HOT position when you filled it up with coolant. did you open the bleed nipple for the cooling system ???

yes throttle cable is itr and set correctly,
my heater tap is always set to hot aswell and bleed nipple was used also

someone was telling me that u have to have the rad cap higher than t.b when filling the sys?

no because that why there is a bleed nipple, just run the car with the cap off.

is the throttle butterfly compleatly closed when at idle ??

the throttlel butterfly must be compleatly closed when in idle position,

do not adjust the throttle butterfly stop scew, this will render your TB useless

on the iacv there is a five sided screw which on mine is wound right in, looked on my old engine and it is out. would adjusting this change much?
also on the fitv the plastic body should be wound in or out to raise/drop idle?????
