http://www.fusioncaraudio.com/products.php?action=view&product_id=25

I am going to be buying a DVD deck

I have a cheap 1000watt boss amp (yes i know.....lol)

Now im looking for the cheapest amp possible, but without losing too much SQ for the subs. What amp should i get?

Im not too fussed about perfect SQ just good enough to listen to

And should i just get rid of the boss amp and run both the subs and speakers off the one amp?

EDIT//

Is this a good enough amp?

What are you looking to use this one for? Subs or mids/highs? You can run a multichannel amp for all, that's not a problem. I would use the better amp you have for the Subs and get a new 4 channel for the mids/highs. Then a good crossover will help a lot too.

I have an amp that will run the mids/highs and the subs for $450USD ($459AUD = $345USD) and it's a high quality amp! U.S. Amps US5600X. See my links in the sig! If you want to get a amp for $350USD that has 4 channels I would have to say just about any of them would be fine. Ebay has JL, Audiobahn, Fosgate (EWWWW), Alpine, MB Quart, MTX and JBL with the occasional generic amp! Here's (http://electronics.search.ebay.com/us-amps_Car-Electronics_W0QQbsZSearchQQcatrefZC6QQcoactionZcom pareQQcoentrypageZsearchQQcopagenumZ1QQfgtpZQQfpos Z80962QQfromZR2QQfsooZ2QQfsopZ2QQftrtZ1QQftrvZ1QQl opgZQQsacatZ3270QQsadisZ200QQsaprchiZQQsaprcloZQQs argnZQ2d1QQsaslcZ2QQsbrftogZ1QQsofocusZbs) the U.S. Amps! I can get you all new ones and even more used if you can't find one you want.

Im looking to spend as little as possible, and i dont nkow much about this sort of stuff.

for the setup im looking at i would like to have 2 amps but if its not as good having 2 amps i will have 1.

Say i have 2 of these amps:
http://www.jvc-australia.com/products/_products_sub_group_details.asp?ID=1408

Would one be enough to run 2 x 400 watt subs and the other the 300watt splits?

I would prefer jvc

I'd get just one, for the mids and highs then the one you have now for the subs.

Firstly I'd forget you even have that BOSS amp.

Ideally you'll get 2 amps, 1 for the front speakers and 1 for the subs.

Those power ratings are all MAX ratings, the subs are more like 200rms each, the splits probably around 50-75rms each.

I'd seriously look into the Jaycar range.

You could get this amp for your splits.....2 x 80rms would do the job nicely for $170

http://www1.jaycar.com.au/productView.asp?ID=AA0420&CATID=&keywords=response&SPECIAL=&form=KEYWORD&ProdCodeOnly=&Keyword1=&Keyword2=&pageNumber=&priceMin=&priceMax=&SUBCATID=

Then for the subs i'd get this amp..... 1 x820rms @ 1 ohm for $400.

http://www1.jaycar.com.au/productView.asp?ID=AA0428&CATID=&keywords=800wrms&SPECIAL=&form=KEYWORD&ProdCodeOnly=&Keyword1=&Keyword2=&pageNumber=&priceMin=&priceMax=&SUBCATID=

For your subs which will see the amp running a 2 ohm load you'll get 350rms into each woofer, plenty for getting loud daily.

This totals $570 which is $100 more than 2 of those JVC amp and the results would be far superior in my opinion.

Jaycars amps are great for the budget, they make the claimed power outputs and for the $$ are well built.

Thats what I'd be looking to do.

its just that i can get sometimes up to 50% of jvc. Thats why i would prefer them.

What do you suggest out of this list

jaycar is ur friend

u could go 1 amp and have ur subs+splits run off it while havin ur rears (if u have any) run off the HU. then again, u could get 2 4-chan amps, but i suggest just get 1 4-chan n get a monoblock for ur subs - you'd want it 2ohm stable tho cus of ur subs.

depends how much power ur after really, how big/small the budget is and if u plan on entering comps. $400-600 can get a a decent 4-chan with enuff power to run ur splits+subs daily.

That is the better way to go. It is what I would do.

So for the monoblock one do you think this amp?
http://www.jaycar.com.au/productView.asp?ID=AA0428&CATID=24&keywords=&SPECIAL=&form=CAT&ProdCodeOnly=&Keyword1=&Keyword2=&pageNumber=&priceMin=&priceMax=&SUBCATID=595

and for the splits i will just get a jvc one, caus ei can get em cheap, but they dont seem to have a monoblock one

yup that jaycar will b fine. itll power both ur subs loudly with lots of headroom to spare.

other $400-500 amp choices that r 2ohm stable that will pump ur subs loudly enuff for daily listening that come to mind include:
. Alpine mrp m350
. Coustic 800DB
. Kicker
. Phoenix gold octane-R
. JL e-series
the list goes on n on

yeah that sounds ok, for the JVC one I think the $129 was 2 x 80rms, that'd be plenty for your front stage.
