You better of checking other forums for this answer as not many or anyone that I know of in Australia has done a EK K20A swap... Check out forums like

a stock k20a in a eg hatch ran 13.5 by hybrid racing, if ur a driver like some of the people on this forum u will probably do low 14s coz u will be scared of braking sumthing, honda parts are not cheap.

try www.k20a.org.
theres a boosted ek k20 on there.. i got video of it against a 10 second dodge viper.. rolling start in 3rd gear he pulls away bout half a car and holds him off till halfway thru 4th but then the viper catches and gets half a car then they both back off (off topic but still impressive)

Nothing will break easy if it's done correctly like axels and stuff.
Mid 13s should be easy if your a nutter behind the wheel.

What is it with people on these forums asking stupid questions?
Sure a k20 engine may fit into an ek but there are so many other variables to take into account.
Its like asking how long is a piece of string.
Unless you have full specs that you plan on using and someone has already got one of the exact same spec up and running. Even then the chances that both cars will be the same speed is pretty damn slim.
Instead of asking how fast will this be? Why not ask can this be done or does anyone know of anyone that has already done this.
Its people that dont take the time to learn about their cars and what can and cant be done, that end up resorting to "rice" and calling it cool.

stop whining...nerd...hahaha ;)
a stock k20 will put down 100kw. Modded, i/h/e tune will put down 150kw+.
So lets see.. umm a EG with b18c7 will do 14.5 easy. low too 14 flat? Thats 100kw atw. WHen ppl put k20's in eg's they dont usually keep em stock, so ud be looking at anywhere from 14.5-13flat in a street car with a street driver imo.

I also hate dumb questions too... if you want to find out do it yourself and see for yourself... obviously with the response your getting they are just estimates, you cannot solely rely on any given information. I suggest you go to a "real" performance place that also has reputable knowledge about Hondas and ask them.. no use in asking these internet "mechanics"...

Al the US guys who do the conversion always change the header, mounts, harness, fuel rail (as return-less system), fuel lines, regulator, clutch lines, axles, custom intake, plus you'll need a Hondata/ECU of some kind. Well all the forums told me that when I was considering the conversion. The Hybrid guys said they did the conversion with stock ECU though.
You would run a 2.5" system or so from cat-back, a hi-flow cat, need an OEM half-size EG radiator (or bigger/aluminium) mounted on the opposite side, thermo unit, the correct shift linkages, shifter box, B16A coolant temp sensor, and B16 fan switch to do it all properly. With all those parts & a good header surely would run very fast.
Check with EG5 as he may have found easier ways than the US to do the install. But with all that I would say at least mid-low 13s. EGK20A did high 12s (on slicks) with no quads! I'd say traction bars would be a good investment too. You best get it done properly first time around.

definately faster than a Evo 8 aus spec, and if you are good, with the right setup, u might do a low 13's...

Stock USDM K20A2 on EGs will run low to mid 13s consistently and that's 20HP lower than the K20A. The fastest street EK ran 11.281 trapped at 120MPH at the end of NHRA last season. Rumor has it she's running 10s now.

So, let say it can be done with the right mods and $$$$.
Can it be legal???? I was thinking of doing this conversion, but thought about the other stuff besides the car and engine like registering it?
What do you need to get the car legal to drive on the road? and in NSW aswell?
