hey fellas.. i was thinking about getting type R injectors to go with the soon type R intake manifold going in my car soon.. but im worried about my fuel pump.. does anybody have any idea if the stock LS pump will pump enough pressure and is it worthwhile doing the injectors??

if you are not modifying/changing anything else and just using the R intake manifold.. id suggest you save your pennys for something more useful..

I'm pretty sure the injectors are the same across the board... ITR GSR and LS, just the pressure regulator is different, If that.

the injecters will be the wrong impedence for your ECU.

LS fuel pump is not enough for over 100kW at the wheels...

100KW??? are you serious??

well, no - not SERIOUS...

my LS pump stuggled for 109.1kW at 60psi fuel pressure, with B20VTEC...

so i guess at 45psi it should be OK, but since they are kinda *old* and can give up without warning,

any serious builder should replace the LS fuel pump for safety reasons...

i see.. but you required that much pressure because it pumping to a B20 correct?

you probably wont need to worry with a B16A...

change the fuel pump if you want, but leave the injectors as they are fine for almost all applications.

but you do realise the OBD2 injectors wont match the impedence requirements of you OBD0 ecu?
