View Full Version : where to get power for more than 1 headunit

i've got a Pioneer Headunit Installed and its connected to the OEM cabling that used to be connected to the OEM radio. I am looking to install a DVD screen, but not sure where i can get the power from. If i just tap the DVD power lines to the OEM cabling, should it be alrite? or do i have to look at anoother alternative?

Run a line directly to the fuse box under the dash. There should be some female and male plugs to 1 side that are 12v+ acc., 12v+ on all the time, and grounds.

Acc is the accessory that is on only when the car is on. The 1st click when you turn the key.

basically if u wanna take the short cut u can tap into it... it will work but then again if not done properly etc may fall away from oconnections etc
do as mentioned above run new wires to the fuse and connect that way inorder to keep a tidy under dash and simpliticy if ever a change is needed

Also keeps you from running too many amps thru the radios wires and fuse.

what does the symbol of the 12v+ acc looks like?
