do DC2 R extractors bolt straight into VTIRs? or do some kind of adjustments have to be made to let them fit?

Anyone know if they make a noticable difference, replacing Vtir header with say Jap 4-2-1 TypeR extractors?

the 4-2-1 ITR extractors are useless, only the 4-1's are good.

the 4-2-1s are still decent
they still have a 2.5" collector
just carry a bit more weight.

like the jdm 4-1s ..

but y in the world would u want an oem part .. if there are aftermarket parts around ..

people in japan get the car stock with one of those .. y dont u get something that they upgrade to as well ?
might cost more .. but u'll get more gains ..

Well i just bought the set of totti due to the price and the trust I have in OEM Honda. Also JDM is a good step-up.

in terms of bang for your buck, the jdm 4-1 header is excellent.

why pay an extra 500 bucks for another 5 horsepower? good for dyno results, don't know how much of a difference in the real world or the track.

i'd rather put it towards track time, the practice will make you faster than 500 bucks worth of header ;)

$500 for n.a 5hp is not too bad....
if you were to mod your car quite hard, i think most people would go for that.

i notice that for alot of people, modding their car equates to an intake, exhaust, header and suspension work. and fair enough too! i'm even at that stage myself... hehehe

i think that for people in this situation, the extra 500 bucks from some jdm bling isn't worth it. you can't even be sure that the expensive parts will gain anything from just being tacked on... you might need to go a little further in terms of ecu work and cam gear tuning to get anything out of the setup.

personally -bearing in mind that my personal experience is very limited- i'd say that people wishing to go no further than what i mentioned, in terms of mods, should use the 500 for something else.
if it's lap times and launches you are concerned about, i reckon a good set of semi slicks would get you a better result at the track or strip than ANY aftermarket header :)

btw- i know how frustrating it is to see superior machinery pulling off into the distance (tofu r), but you get used to it after a while ;)
