Hey,

Finally sold my VW and now looking to invest in Honda---coupe EJ8 :) (tho i cant believe they are rear drums :( )

OK most of the one looking at are around the 100,00kms mark...ive searched n the HONDA service manual only says replace the timing belt, water pump, oil, fluids, filters etc. at this mark...but

1) will anything else major need changing around 100.000kms ie cam seals, cam cover gasket, crank seal etc?

2) besides a squeky clutch any other thing else i shuld look out for in the coupes?

Most of the time it's the electric windows and rubber seizing up but if you just keep them lubricated with silicon spray, should be fine.

yes there is black one but friend got a Gli Auto...

at 100 000km it's probably saftest to change the whole engine to a B18 or k20 :D

the windows. there's always drama with the electric windows of EJ8s. so, the best thing to do is what barefootbumsai suggests. "change the whole engine to a B18 or k20" :wave:

Most people wont allow a compression test..
do as barfootbonzai suggested get a k20 - problem solved

People that refuse to allow a compression test on an engine should be avoided.

EJ8's never came in black you will need to find a GLI (sohc NON-VTEC) 99-00 model or a VTI-R 99-00(EM1)

Price wise best you look in the trading post and carsales.com to find that out.

^^^CTR's right...its like ppl who dnt allow u to take the car 2 a mechanic of ur choice for inspection! avoid!

no black oh well..colors not that important!

EJ8 will have enough power for a few years...until i feel like a k20 swap lol! :D
