I am not sure which K&N filter to get for my car. My motor is a d16a8 non vtec. Which one: 33-2047 or 33-2061?

Also, how much is this likely to help performance? And is K&N the best sort of filter to get?

Thanks
Rohan

Don't bother without a CAI. I bought mine a few weeks ago and its still sitting in my room cos i cbf making a CAI for it. Just takes in hot air and uses more fuel

I have a DIY CAI going into my airbox. I'm just not sure which filter is for my engine...

33-2047

Bought one a few days ago.
Didn't want to lose CAI and go into the trouble of making the neccessary brackets and heat shields etc so went for the panel filter for now. Paid $102.00 for it and definately a noticeable difference compared to a near new genuine Honda air filter. Installed a K&N panel filter on a Mazda SP20 2 weeks back and that made more difference than in my Civic Si.

My car still gets a bit breathless above 6K rpm so I'm getting extractors w/ 2" mild steel exhaust system installed soon so hopefully that would improve things a bit.

thanks!... I've got standard exhaust with extractors... the extractors REALLY help... much more torque i've found.. Good luck. - tell me how the exhaust goes, i've been thinking of doing something similar.

how does your car sound with just extractors and no exhaust?

the extractors didn't change the sound at all....

CAI is a must. I had a K&N pod style filter set up, but abandoned it for the K&N filter that sits in the standard airbox with CAI. Much better drive, better response, less noise. More practicle for hot weather.
