just have a look on the side of your ecu. you should see it on the sticker in little writing. But yeah you should be OBD2a

The ECU you have if its a Australian ECU is a 37820 p75 Q02 - 9860199675 HG
its a obd2a ECU, with the Board type being a M1Y-C L5000-01 it contains no 5151 IC's and is a none vtec ECU... i have one in front of me now ;) its Application is useless for anything other than stock purposes.

As far as I’m aware there are zero "chip" upgrades commercially available for this ECU
sure you could get the surface mount OKI 341 Processor reprogram it up, and replace the MPU but this is not a feasible option, like I said, and I still stand by what I said, this ECU is only good for stock use. Nobody actively develops this technology.

You need a full replacement computer, I of course only recommend Hondata for Honda’s ;)

Where in Australia are you.

Just because Hon$a$a dont develop it, doesnt mean others dont.
Do a search for Didier(France), or RPT(Malaysia) you might be suprised.

People need to understand there are other solutions available than the typical Harness + OBD1 conversion if they're willing to go to the time & effort to research and learn a thing or two.

What I wanted to say before OzH crashed on me is that if you search for Didier(France) or RPT(Malaysia) you will be pleasantly suprised.

Things are about to change domestically, watch this space.
