How long is a piece of string?

I would say anything above 11:1 is pretty high....especially for daily driven cars.

it would vary depending on who you talk to.
Guys in the USA run 13:1 in their dodge neons (chrysler neon here)

Pushing 13.7 in the current engine, running optimax only. Race engine

Some of the drag guys in the USA are running over 14.1 compression, but require rebuilts every 2,000miles

Super Tourer Accords had their compression ratio as undisclosed...

would that mean you'd have to retard timing like crazy to run over like 12-13:1????
