could be a cat stuck. Or your CV joint has popped/ripped ? OR the inner gaurd has come loose and "rubs" when you hit that speed ?

Best to take it to a professional to get it checked out , as NO ONE here can actually diagnose your problem !

It's true what benjamin said, it's pretty hard to diagnose it without having a look at it, so have someone check it out. I do get some rubbage on my inner guards when i do u-turns in my civic. I've lowered it 2inces on King springs and have 17x7 rims.
But yeah who knows, have it looked at.

Probably a rock got lodged b/w your rotor and brake pad/cradle.....

then it fell out.

Its happened to me twice before.

or maybe your hub/disc/brakes, ive seen people using the wrong brakes and this can cause the problem, also check for bubbles on your tires, cause if you hit a bump, and the metal inside the tire breaks, then it can cause a bubble and rub against the suspention, getting louder.

hey guys thanx for your ideas....

i dont think it'll be the brakes cos they've been the same brakes since i got the car (bout 2 months ago) and haven't heard anything like that b4!...i think it might have been jst a rock like mentioned b4 cos were i was driving had a little construction happening in the area...drove the car a little this morning all is good no sounds that i could hear....

still going to get it checked out on monday and have a service jst to make sure!

Yeh just check to make sure the inner wheel plash guard has not come loose anywhere and is rubbing on the tyre when you drive, (makes some freaky ass noises)... Happens alot on lowered cars with bigger wheels. Check that out first, then check out the caliper for any rocks/dirt , then look at the suspension... Use the process of elimination !!

i reckon it would have been a piece of debris from somethin. Usually if your CV's are on the way out they make a clickin noise when you do fast U-Turns.

lo...ive had this problem a number of times
i told my mechanic and he told me to go to his shop when it happens and when i do it stops..
i could never find what was wrong and now i dont have the noise no more
point of story : i dont know aswell but at least it went away for me..i think it might be brake pad cover thing rubbing
dont quote me on it

What you discribe could actually be the sound of a shocker blowing a seal.

This would be why it happened when you went around the corner.

This could also explain why the sound has gone away since being that the shock once leaked its oil or re presurised itself.

Go to a good mechanic or even one of them midas 28point safety check thing places and see if they can see if anything has gone wrong.

Its better to be safe than have it screw up again but this time because it maybe raining you may have end up paying a visit to mr guard rail.

Come to think of it i did have some rubbage when i first lowered the car. It was the front left side and some metal guard was bent and was rubbing on my disk. I really hate mechanics who don't take of your car, even though you pay them to. To fix it some other mechanic put a flat-head screwdriver and knocked it back a little and no more problems. Maybe you got something stuck up there (the guard i'm talking about is right behind the disk) and it fell out after a while. And this wasn't anything like the noise you get scraping your inner guard. Check your disk for any damage (it shouldn't be anything major).
Hope this is of some help
