sorry guys quick question,
will a vtec B18 turbo manifold fit a non vtec B18??? some dude that i was enquiring through for a turbo kit for my gsi was saying that the vtec turbo kit wont fit my gsi cause the manifold wont fit. is he just talking shyte???

no, he is correct.
These motors have different cylinder heads, and hence different exhaust port footprints.

cheers for clearing that up for me pro

sorry but is that the same as chucking a type r exhaust manifold on a gsi?? would it fit then or still not fit??

Mostly the bolts/studs don't line up. The ports might be wider/narrower and have more/less space between them. Get them to trace the manifold pattern on a piece of paper and then see if it fits. If the bolt holes are the only thing off you can modify it enough to make it fit. If the ports are off you can't use it.

All B-Series heads can interchange exhaust manifolds, i.e. they all share the same exhaust manifold bolt patern. The same is not true for intake manifolds however.

Hence why you see intake manifolds for particular heads (i.e. type-r/b16a VS gs-r VS ls), whereas turbo manifolds are just described as "B-Series".

Though, since the above few posters have been spreading misleading information, you will have to research this yourself, because you are now undoubtably going to ask "who is telling the truth?". :D

The bolt patern will line up fine, but its the rest of the manifold/b-pipe that you have to worry about fitting.

im with string, as far as i know, all b-seriss exhaust manifolds are the same.

fair comments guys. perhaps im misinformed on this one.

as far as I'm aware, the issue with the b series exhaust manifolds is how "tall" it is, if that makes sense. The flange will bolt up, but there are some issues with clearance with the second half of the stock manifolds on other b series motors.

In a situation with a b series turbo manifold, they should be interchangable.

Like Wise as far as i know all B Series motors use the same

same exhaust stud patern, different intake:)
