skunk 2 intake manifold on d16y1

as the title says pplz, what do uz think of a skunk 2 intake manifold on the d16y1 , is it worth the gains?
iv got a Sir throttle atm about 60mm , iv been told by a few ppl to get a skunk2 intake manifold to go with it, to get the perfect gain...any opinions or anyone whos did the manifold conversion, wuld be great to hear the resultz.

what is "worth it" to you might not be "worth it" to someone else.

fadz ur spending nearly $550 for the skunk2 manifold right?its not really worth it on a d16y unless your adding a turbocharger with it,ive tried to modify my d16y with $2000 worth of mods and couldnt even keep up to a b16a civic

I just dont see a point in doing up an auto. Each to their own I guess.

WHy not get it port matched to your intake manifold?

Would be cheaper than buying a skunk2 manifold. And even then you would have to port match it in order to take advantage of all the benefits it has to offer.

I would say it is worth the gains from what I have read on d-series.org.

unless you've done some fairly extensive headwork you're likely to lose power across much of the rev range by just bolting on a aftermarket IM.

so with stock cam etc the intake manifold is useless ?
