Half Cage in Eg civic 4 door?

Hey Guys

Interested in a Half Cage for a 4 Door Eg civic. i really do not know much about them, so wondering if some people could tell me a little about them or give me some advice? whats out there? what is good for what purpose etc etc? also if they have to get fabbed? or you can buy some sort of bolt on kit? Rough Prices etc etc, cheers guys im a real noobie on this topic so go easy...

not worth it man unless your getting into racing at a track and then its not worth have 4 doors cos you will have to make it a 2 seater.

my car is a 2 seater ;), and registered as a 2 seater, and yes looking into track raceing in the not so distant future

Dont buy bolt on kits. They dont work as well. Get a proper custom made cage made to CAMS specs.

But I would be adding a diag, or cross bracing in the rear arms too. Also I would add a harness bar to the main hoop, if you plan on using harnesses. You can get them made to to be bolt on. But I would stick to having it welded in.

i herd that it is illegal to have kits that are welded in.... as in they have to be completely removeable.... is this tru? Allso are they different styles or different designs of half cages to suit different purposes? or a different number of points?

Depends on your state, but in Victoria, no you dont have to have it removable.

There are 100's of different designs/points available. But stick to the CAMS one above, as it is easier to get approval for. If you want a half cage, you will want a 4 point.
