i want to prove everyone wrong
lol, wild dreams of a yungen
ive been tryin in vain to look for a new exhaust system made specifically for the 05 model civic, no one has it

Haha mate. I got the same car, just last week too. Yeah Iam sick of the crap too.
Iam pretty much a n00b, but Iam looking into the VTi engine (I think thats it, the one with VTEC).
Also, if you serious like your HUGE plans (Lol) prephaps look into a titanium system, I know its a bit costly, but it takes like 20KGs off. Which is alot when your considering big power...
Anyway.
Soz if this all sounds n00b, new to this.
Rob.

thanx for the reply, man i think the titanium is a bit out of ma league rite now
ill just stik to mild metal or stainless steel
but can i replace the stock stainless steel muffler with a mild metal one?
and even if thats possible i cant seem to find new muffler kits made specifically for the 05 civic
IMPORTANT NOTE: have u got a new head unit yet?
If u havent and u r considerin gettin one, DO NOT DO IT URSELF unless ur a pro, coz im tellin u itz ***n hard
i tried to do it ma self, and completley underestimated the complexity of the job, lukily i gave up before i did any damage and then i took it to Audio FX in camberwell

Maybe that has something that might help you out a little bit...
If you really want performance out of it, that's really your only option, boosting it...
I dunno what engine management solutions would be available for it.
it has 88kw at the flywheel...
:|
And a lancer has 92..
and 20 something more nm of torque...
redbook estimates the lancer to do 0-100 in 9.8 seconds.
Thats nothing super to beat.

lol, man thats a sexy civic, but im lyke $30k away from that
still a broke ass teen, waitin to finish hid degree, then all funds go to the civic
im guessin a high quality turbo kit(to get it to lyk 110-120kw on weels, properly installed, goin to cost at least $11k
lol, ill have to save up for a decade

10000000000X better
i got it for $22k drive away, free spoiler, teflon coating, manual
not that manual is a bad thing, if auto was stok, id pay extra for it to be manual
i hate auto, too unstable....

are you sure 110kw/120kw at the wheels is enuf?
wat do u think 110-120kw on the weel with a $10k turbo kit is unrealistic?
how much more can it be? wat lyke 160-170kw?
LOL, i can pull a 12-13 second 1/4 mile with that much power on a 1 tonne car
well, the thing is the DC5R with 141kw at the wheels does low 14s
given the DC5R is heavier than the Civic, but it's not by much
i've seen cars with more power and similar weight do slower times than 12-13s 1/4mile
