the 4x50w referring to total power not rms, you'll be getting around 20wrms per channel and to be honest, u wont notice any difference from those speakers u mentioned unless you run your speakers off amp, if you going to put an amp in the future, then u should go listen all of them with your own ears and judgement, is hard to tell coz is different to everyones liking.

good luck with warranty buying overseas, especially with those alpine decks.

On a side note I agree with bluish, your not going to notice much diff unless you.

1. AMP the speakers
2. Sound deaden your doors and seal the service holes

All this cost money, if you want great sound its going to be expensive, about 1k all up excluding installation

Lifestyle stores has MB Quarts for listening I think.

The head units 15W-18W RMS @ 4OHM 13.3V x 4 at best ain't going to cut it with a lot of those speakers. Why no amp?

Get sound deadening it will significantly improve the sound from any speakers.

FHRX does installs.

simond81, you might want to audition the following:

Boston S60
Crossfire X6
Diamond M361
Focal 165V1
Hertz HSK165
Vibe BH160
Oz Audio 165V3
Morel Pulse 6
Eton Pro160X

Just to mention a few. :)

A few higher end ones and Audiobahn, who I use!
Cerwin-Vega! (http://www.cerwin-vega.com/)
Image Dynamics (http://www.imagedynamicsusa.com/index.php)
AudioBahn (http://www.audiobahn.com/Audiobahn06/pages/2006.html)

On a side note... Audiobahn, MA Audio, and DA (Digital Audio) are the SAME as each other, DA is red, MA has other colors, and Audiobahn puts screens around their magnets! There's more but that's what I remember from SEMA and CEA shows!!

hey dude

It all depends what kinda sound quality ur after. To be honest, the unit in itself will improve your stock speakers slightly... not all that much so dont expect miracles. I have the 9853, and it improved the sound out of my crappy stock speakers in a 96 dc2 on its own.

If you want better sound quality, you're better off investing in an amp and running a set of splits or something.

I own the Alpine SPR-17LS, have them hooked to a cda-9847 however.
But i find them to be a good quality sounding splits, of course my opinion.
Mine run currently unamped (tax money will fix that) and they sound good.
(that sound deadening stuff sounds interesting)

Slow96GSR, I'm not sure that CV is readily available down here. Nor are ID components besides subs. ID subs are everywhere but coming accross the ID speakers etc is rare. ;)
