Hi all,

A new day, a new problem. :D
Just started this afternoon. When I have my indicator on, and I turn the wheel, I get clicks about twice every quarter turn of the wheel. Yes, that means that when I am parking, it goes CLICKCLICKCLICKCLICKCLICKCLICKCLICKCLICK. Anyone else have this problem? I think it can happen to any car as well. Going to let the dealer know at my next service (because I'm swamped and can't get to the dealer this month).

Could it be 1 of the indicator bulbs has blown?

Can't be the bulbs as the signal light on the dash + sound will be flashing very fast.

Your's click front and back??????

Not the bulb. It is a clicking noise from the steering column. Usually you hear up to 2 clicks for the indicator self cancel. Mine now goes 8 clicks. Reading the US board, there are 2 solutions. Once is replacing the indicator switch, and the other was some damper in the column....

Mine does that too around round-a-bouts, if I turn right with the indicator on, then turn left straight after, the stalk clicks like mad

About a year ago, I compared my indicator to another Euro's and that one was not as loud as mine. Well, I've lived with the super loud click click and so far my indicators are still working properly. :)

Maybe. I get the steering column rattle as well. Something is loose inside.

It could be the plug in connector for the airbag.

No idea why. Mine was extra loud compared to other cars. But now after 4 years of ownership, my indicator still works fine and self-cancels fine too. It is just loud.

Euro08Jaz is right. I am referring to the clicking sound that you get when you have the indicator on and you are turning the steering wheel.

You know mine was doing this as well. However, the past 2 months i haven't heard it anymore.. or maybe I'm not paying attention to it.

I'll go check later to see if it is there still.

yeh, the locking/disengage mechanism.

i haven't faced that problem as of yet.

anyhow keep being persistent to your dealer otherwise go higher up to honda australia themselves.

Hi., just noticed this last night. I could swear that it was not there before that. I get the click, turning left or right, every 180 degree turn of the wheel. This only happens when the indicator is on.
Has anyone had this fixed under warranty?

The click is there on ALL euros. On mine, the click is SUPER loud. I have compared to other Euros and mine is extremely loud. After 2 years, the indicators still work fine and still self cancel, so it is one of those aesthetic problems.

you reckon silicone spray will fix it?

Will the dealers actually fix this or will just just give the excuse that it's all normal?

I thought something seemed strange but never really gave it much thought until your all mentioning it.. but yeah mine does it too. Hey as long as the engine doesn't fall out, I am happy to ignore it.

A problem may seem trivial at the time and not be of any concern. But what would happen if it actually led to a problem later on down the track and it ended up costing you money to fix. Imagine if you had the opportunity to use your warranty but you never did. I just feel safer to get any problem attended to now before it leads to a bigger and more expensive problem later in the future. You just never know when you may have to get rid of your car in a hurry and little things like that can make a difference.
