Hey all i am sitting here thinking what can i waste my money on today...(cos i have so much of it and all)

Anyhow Im wanting to find out more info on air suspension, when i went in to my local pedders and after a brief chat about suspension i enquired about airbags his response was its not suspension and im better off to keep the track suspension im running at the moment...

Im really wanting to hear from people that have ridden on air, i dont want to sacrice my handeling thats the main area of concern.... i like corners too much!!!

There really isnt much written about air which leads me to think its a pointless venture

The car im thinking of putting the bags in is the 5th gen accord.

chers

no tss are crap, contact jason at livinglow.com.au much better, i have air in my civic ride is better then standard springs... you only get an uncomfortable ride if you driving way too low because there is no air in the cylinder...

Can you pre select different right hieghts?

what kind of price are we talking about?

and how do you controll the input of air in the cylinder? i have seen a commodore which was operated via a remote controll

yes you can select any hieght you want, depends on what you want, eg, line sizes valves gauges controls compressers....you control ride hieght with your "switchbox"....call jason at living low for more info...ask IMLOWR he got his airride done there..

ok, they are extremely over priced, for 1.products 2. installation 3. engineering

and also they products the engineer and sell will allow you vechile to have 100 millimeteres of clearance from the lowest point of the vechile at all times, which is as low as you can legally go, but seriously why would you go to the effort of installing air suspension to have 100 millimetre clearance just get coilovers and save you cash the reason you get an air ride is to be below 100 mm....

everyone in the industry thinks james(owner of tss) is a tool anyways.... Ask around do ya research.... www.downundertruckn.com.au

You only have to meet the bloke, and not even work in the 'industry' to come up with that analogy about James.

I have only heard good things about livinglow, but i havent had any work done their personally. Also plz steer clear of burnin customs they do really poor installs (I got burnt there myself!)

Mate, your car wont handle as good compared to a good set of coilovers, but then again I feel as though it handles better then stock for sure! (I also have a strut bar/swaybar/Control Arm bushes installed)

Price wise you would be looking at 3K for a basic kit with 3/8" valves and airlines, controls, cylinders mounts tank etc (which is all you need really) and a basic compressor.

Most Accords I have seen, especially so in Oz run Cylinders not bags also dude.

As for installs most shops generally charge around the 1.5-3k mark depending on a number of factors, such as if you have a custom stereo in your boot, with amp racks, subwoofer box etc, custom mounts for the tanks etc will have 2 be fabricated etc.

If you just run a basic setup, it shouldnt cost you much more then 4k.

Hope this info helps, you wont regret going on air, the ride is comfy, handling is ok, and it always grabs ppl attention

My civic runinng cylinders( old picture)

all have there benefits and negativities, cylinders bolt straight in , air bags require cutting and hydrolics dont use air but hydrolic oil to run and a hell of alot of batteries.
