Howdy all,

I'm considering selling my GSI integra, i'm looking at either a CRX or Civic coz I loved my old EK civic and have always dreamed of an EG since..

I love everything about the integra.. VERY nice car, but I just love smaller cars.

Was wondering how a 1994 vti Civic hatch would run against a GSI in performance? power to weight is slightly better in the civic.

Does anyone know of a stock vti quarter mile run??

cheers guys

in the 16s,if you want a eg vti to have some balls you best get a b series conversion and save some money

eg vti = 96kw , 145NM i believe.
The GSI has the b18b - 107kw i think and a lump more torque than the civic.

Performance wise , the gsi will beat the vti in all accounts.
Stock 1/4 for the vti is in the flat high 15 low 16 range i woudl think...

try and SEARCH too - look - click here to search! (http://www.ozhonda.com/forum/search.php?)

Hrmm my ek1 cxi ran a 16.3, was not bad for what it was... but i hear the GSI's can run a 15.5 stock.. (havnt run mine yet)

Obviously 1/4 isnt my ONLY concernt with having either of these cars, i could buy sumting faster for the same money. It's the whole package im after.

u want package go for the eg vti with power options and sunroof more options then the si/gli/breeze, but beware most vti owners i know have problems with there sunroof scratching the roof and also slow to open and close it costs alot to repair the sunroof believe me i have the same problem

I would definately go the VTI if i were getting an EG, but compared to the GSI integra, it also has all of those options, so hard for me to decide to sell it or not.

Guess if the power was similar from the VTI as it is from the integra it'd make my descision easier.

my gf rans a eg in her auto 2000 gsi, hers is comp stock as a they come.
the eg had as far as could tell a zorst system, it was a vti and her teg isnt the fastest out there and it was very even.
ive seen a EK vti coup run flat 15, but it had I/H/E plus crower cam and tuning, and a LOT of WEIGHT REDUCTION, there was only a drivers seat in the vehicle, even the gear knob was missing!!
with same mods ur GSI would kill it!!!
so performance wise the B18B powered GSI comes out on top very easy

Yer, I guess I did kind of expect that to be the case.

After driving / riding in the integra, I personally feel its a BIG STEP up in comfort and interior than even my EK civic was. So stepping back to an EG it may let me down in those areas, this is why I also have considered the Del Sol CRX, as they have nicer interiors, i've loved them for quite a while and can see myself in one also.

man keep the integra...
people who have vti civics want too much for them
if i was in the market looking for a car id buy barefoot bonzais one

man its got a b18c and it looks stock as a rock! HOW COOL IS THAT!

The vti civic I'm looking at (not yet seen in person) is asking $7,200 which is pretty damn cheap, if I sellt he tegz i'd have plenty of cash left for sum basic mods.

Yer, i've been keeping my eye out there, some people ask rediculously high prices, others asking low, I guess in the end it comes down to how clean of an example you have. Mines not too bad overall, thinking of starting at around 13k but won't drop below 12, If i did, not by much!

I'm pretty willing to wait a while for a sale as I do love it and not too fussed if I don't sell it

don't forget, it's not just the car but the driver that counts. I easily pick off gsi's in my vti sedan. My car is stock mechanically except for an air intake (which i think robs power :( ). comparing runs with a stock b16a civic or vtir teg, it's fairly even until about 60-70kmh and then i lose out in top end.

the vti is by no means a race car but it has the potential to be a nice daily driver with abit of balls. especially with a decent suspension package, it is alot of fun through twisty road.
