hey

i'm thinking of going to the track with my prelude and have been recomended to look at the brakes as it's quite a brake intensive track and most people get brake fade there.

i've been for spirited drives through the hills and never had an issue with brake fade so i think it should be fine.

I'm wondering what the stock brake pads are like? and if i should get different brake fluid/pads?

I think you would be better off getting some vented brake discs if you are worried about fading on the track.

At minimal, change your brake pads. Mountain runs are nothing compared to the track. Vented discs, are questionable as to how much they help with cooling but higher temp pads is a must.

it comes with vented discs on the front stock and solid in the rear
get some new good pads and you should be fine
bleed the system and get a quality fuild.

and get a quality fuild.

Can you use non-honda fluid? I heard other brands can cause damage
