well, as title suggests, how hard would it be to organise one?

even it means hiring a track (eg-winton) for the day, with a proper organised challenge?

is this possible

ofcourse...you would need a minimum amount of people to attend to cover the track hire ($5k or even 10k for a day im not sure ?) and then to cover ambulance etc etc.
And , you would have to book atleast a few moths in advance...us NSW fellows have a privately organised Wakefield event coming up in a coupel of months

sounds good bennjamin, but is just a normal time trial style, or is it an actual event? eg-1st, 2nd and 3rd place

Just go to a Honda Sports Car Club track day instead. There's one in April.

the wakefield event coming up is an official time trial - no actual racing against each other.

only against the clock.

to organise a 'cup' of any sort would be incredibly difficult.

you would have to organised each race into categories.

eg. 1.6L or less

vtec non-vtec

turbo non-turbo

etc...

and for any decent racing to happen u need good number of people turning up. So say minimum 50 people.

Thats hard enough to do on it's own.

talk to FLY on the forum if your serious - i think he organised wakefiel for us sydney-siders.
