Hey, this has probbaly been covered somewhere else, but theres a lot of info on pod filters, and it'd take ages to get through it all.

I was wondering, if i walk into autobarn, how much am i looking at for a pod (probably k&n), the piping and the connectors, everything..? And is it an easy job to do myself if i have all the neccesary pieces?

Cheers

I see. Ok cool. What do i need though? Im thinking: Pod, Piping, and Connectors? Is that all i need to be able to install it myself?

Cheers

you can just buy the pod and attach it to the end of the current intake piping. The pod itself may only cost you about 50 to 100 bucks depending what you buy. If you do buy an intake pipe make sure that it has a slot to put your sensor into. And make sure that the sensor fits tight otherwise you may have problems running your car after installation.

You've got an EK VTIR?? isn't that b16A???

If it is they may have kits designed for it already.

Good luck

If u need a pod, get it off the traders here. Ask Trav aka. egSi, he can do you a more competitive deal over autobarn. they charge excessively. Actually, just buy the whole kit off him or any other traders. they are very commonly sold on OH.

i picked up my K&N from autobarn for about 50 bucks. I got a qoute to get a custom intake pipe made up. THey were gonna charge me 80$ for what ever i wanted. I was plannin on gettin them to put it inside the front bumper but i decided to just connect it to the OEM intake pipe.

i see. Yeh theres so many options for these pod filters i swear. Is there a place in s/w sydney that does this stuff? So i can just drive in and drive out.

Hey man.

I recently bought a replacement air hose - the hose that takes clean air from the air box to the engine. First sorta work ive ever done on my car - the only thing you need is a phillps head screwdriver and a tourqe wrench. And if i can do it you can!

As far as s/w sydney shops. Just look up on the white pages. If you buy the gear from say autobarn or supercheap etc ask them they might have some suggestions or might fit it for you if there not busy or give you good instructions.

Which reminds me i have to phone around 2mo for a k and n airfilter for my camry!
