Hi, anyone using fuel saving products like:
1) Magnets along fuel line
2) in-tank catalyst
3) cyclone

I myself use NC-TECH magnets along the fuel line and felt slightly better throttle response. no time to measure the fuel consumption yet.
as for the cyclone, it only feel significant when im going at cruising speed, thats arouns 90km onwards. more throttle response also.

performance stuffs like:
1)ground wires
2)voltage stabilizer
3)performance spark plugs
4)hi flow filters

yet to install any of them yet.

if u do, pls give reviews on whether they works!

even if they do work, the cost VS benefits arent worth it.
you wanna save fuel drive like a bitch,
if not get an LPG conversion done.

Yep, everyone of those first 3 are scams, they do nothing and are a waste of money, some just do nothing other's hinder performance.

haha no need to complain while we drive these cars.. look @ the other larger engines out there and also turbos eating up petrol :P

ummm... how will magnets help? Magnets only affect 3 metals; iron cobalt and nickle.... none of which are in ur petrrol (being hydrogen and carbon and if ur using ethanol than there some oxygen in ther also) i think this "trottle response" is in ur head. OR maybe the magnets clamped on ur fuel line are restring flow and making a leaner mixture?

i have a rock that i put on the passenger seat, i swear it gave me atleast 5kw and much more economic now!

when u buy an item ur butt dyno changes configuration to make the best result for the spent money so it doesnt feel like you wasted it. those first three items are scams, hey do u want my rock?

I got one of those "Power Chip" things for my VTi on my b'day n' they're a load of shit. I put it in...same ol' response, cept the torque band kicks in real hard at 6k...which is right at the end of the rev range...POS.

So a tip to all ppl thinking that they work...DON'T GET PULLED INTO THE MARKET HYPE! Its all for your money, and no performance.

hey man, how much for ur rock? i have one, workd for a bit, but i think its starting to wear out now... not giving me enuf power now after this chick sat on it :( hehehe

anywayz, i've heard of those things, they are full of crap, so i've heard by many ppl...

on that note, look on ebay, they're selling little resistors or sumtin u hook up between ur ecu and air sensor to "GIVE YOU A +25 INCREASE IN UR BHP AND BETTER TORQUE WITH MORE ECONOMY"

one of my mates actually bought one of these resisitor things and says it works

Hey peps how bout those performance chip that you install in the ECU sensor? Are they effective ive seen a few in ebay like this one http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Performance-Chip-HONDA-CIVIC-ACCORD-LEGEND-S2000-60-HP_W0QQitemZ170351646174QQcmdZViewItemQQptZAU_Car_ Parts_Accessories?hash=item27a9bfd5de&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=65%3A1%7C66%3A2%7C39%3A1%7C293%3A1%7C294 %3A50 and theres feedback that it was effective. umm anyone tried these performance chips?

dude...you serious????

That mod chip is just a 5 cent resistor that advances the timing

i got the magnet thingy paid like $15 seems to improve my fuel economy got about 30-50km more & the idle seem smoother. You need a real strong magnet type

the FIR radiation one seems to work better got slightly more

Tried a earthing type didn't do much, except smooth out my stereo.

paid about $20 for each of them and they did work for me. Tested them on quite a few runs. I've removed them since i have a aftermarket ECU. It didn't seem to make any difference on the aftermarket ECU. Only seems to work on stock ECUs for some reason

Up to you wat u beleive, but it worked for me and save me abit of fuel which was enough for their cost.
I wouldn't spend big money on them though

P.S the performance chip ones don't work at all, i gave one a try a long time ago just cos someone gave me one.

at this point for me its sounds like it is bullshit and i wont believe in these chip unless someone in this forum tried it and experience the difference..

have an inline fuel catalyst/magnet, cost $20 from ebay, car ran smoother with it. Also have a hiclone, got it 2nd hand from ebay, improved throttle response and power at part throttle openings (which is where i do most of my driving) and between the two over around 5000kms i am seeing around 50kms further a tank doing the same driving (460-480k to almost always over 500 now with a best of 600 taking it real easy). Got more cheap on ebay and tried them on my girlfriends mx5 and she is getting an extra 30-50 kms a tank and recons her car runs smoother. Trying catalyst on my bro's SS commodore and seems to have dropped consumption from about 15l/100 to 14l/100

My car was doing around 10-11L per 100km back then with iridium spark plugs.

switched them over to shitty denso ones and i realised a huge difference in petrol consumption.

Now it's at around 7-9L per 100km.

Same driving pattern aswell.
