Hey everyone, I'm from Canada with relatives living in Sydney. I was there last summer and noticed that you guys have EM1 coupes that were converted to RHD.

My question is, are there any differences between the two (USDM vs A(u)DM)? I think I noticed different headlights and sidemarkers on your fenders.

Hey champ..... the EM1s you saw here where not converted locally. They were built in the states RHD to for our market and I'm sure others.

Difference in sidemarkers? You mean the colour?
I think the headlights you will find on the US and Canada models have an extra bit of plastic within the indicator...... ? orange plastic ?

I think the headlight indicator lenses are different for sure (we have the amber inserted into the sides). We didn't get the sidemarkers at all or the "CTR" folding mirrors. What I'm really trying to track down is the Aussie-spec wing.

I'm pretty sure that was made only for the Australian market?

Thanks, but thats not my car. I'm just trying to find where the spoiler is from.. its really rare and supposedly from the Australian coupes.

man your car looks great already. I think the spoiler will 'spoil' the fine lines of your car. There aren't that many EM1s in aus and most probably werent optioned with the wing.

Shit mate that red one is hot stuff! Look on ebay and see if anyone is Australia is flogging them off. Either that get in contact with Honda wreckers and see if your relo's can pick up the part and then get it shipped over to you.

I agree that wingless EM1's are so much nicer, but I've never really seen a coupe with that spoiler other than the red one I posted. I should get my cousins to check up on it.

Hey, also the spoiler on the red em1 you posted, were never sold as OEM in Aus. that looks aftermarket to me. The aus EM1s didn't receive any folding mirrors of any sort as well. If you check out the gallery, you should be able to find many EM1s, most without wings, and some with.

Oh ok, thats the same as the OEM wing we have. The owner of that red car on Honda-Tech mentioned it was a wing he got from Australia and it was OEM. I guess he wanted to conceal where he bought it.

Yes that would be the case. I have never seen that OEM wing on aussie EM1s before. Well, thats a shame you got lied to! I'm sure wehre you are, it wouldnt be too hard sourcing a wing that was similiar to that design you wanted. Its alot harder downunder as the modding scene is not large for EM1s. anyway, good luck with the find and welcome once again.

The OEM Spoiler doesn't suit the EM1. Just looks out of place. IMO Bleh, don't bother and don't waste your money.

Oh yeah another Q, did you guys get rear lips on all your coupes? They were optional here for us and if you can find one you are sitting on a gold mine. Do dealerships still stock them? I have a replica I bought for cheap, but wouldn't mind an OEM one.
