Well, I fly down at 6:45am on the Friday morning, and leave Tuesday day.
Staying at Travelodge at South Bank and sitting in the Waite Stand.

Anyone else going?

Flying with Virgin (Jet Star are 40km out of Melbourne)
PLane Tickets = $300
Hotel + GP tickets etc = $650

Book with local travel agent, and she went through sportsnet.com.au

I am going! So is nEUROtic and a couple of our friends. We're flying down wednesday morning and departing monday afternoon. I can't remember the hotel we are staying at, somewhere in Collins St I think. We bought GA 4 day pass, so expensive to sit in the stands.

I've been to the last 2 melbourne gps. unfortunatly I can't get time off work for this years. I really wanted to get that hatrick :(

however I have be given time off for the race in Monaco :)

Word, we flew down last year and it was awesome. Gonna be an annual pilgramage for us. Costs about 700 with flights accomm and tix for 4 days. It'd be about 1000 if u were in a grandstand

Hey LUD02C, since we will be flying down to Melb on the Wednesday how can we tip for the Australian race? I should be taking my laptop down with me but whether our hotel room has internet access i'm not sure... how will this work if we can't get online?

My mate just bought a Renault Clio Sport Cup and they gave him a heap of stuff regarding Renault being both 05 WDC and WCC.
